I can’t believe my baby is already 2! It really feels as if he should be turning 1, not 2. Before I know it we will be adding Little Bear into the craziness of school work too. But for now we are enjoying all of his toddler quirks.
Little Bear has quite the personality. He loves to do what the big kids do and never has a second thought when it comes to doing anything dangerous (like attempting to jump off of the top bunk bed onto the floor!). He is such a sweet little boy who loves to cuddle and would be content to be held all day long. Little Bear has some of the most unique facial expressions (some of which you have already seen) and I hope that never changes. He is all boy, through and through, and loves all of the things boys do- trucks, trains, cars, and his current love is Blue’s Clues. Old VCR tapes of Blue’s Clues have saved many homeschooling mornings around here!
The morning of his birthday, Little Bear woke up in a great mood and was wondering why everyone was making such a fuss over him. We were not able to celebrate his birthday on the actual day of his birthday, but we tried to make it a special day with some ice cream, and also some pancakes for dinner (by the way, these are the absolute best pancakes we have had since we started eating mostly grain free- the kids had three servings each and I highly recommend trying them!).
The next day we were able to actually celebrate with presents and cake since Daddy and Grandma and Grandpa were off work. Pizza was on the menu for dinner (who doesn’t like pizza!). We were trying to keep Little Bear from eating the last piece of pizza since he still had his piece to finish, and then the meltdown ensued.
Moose was absolutely convinced that Little Bear could not be 2 until he ate his cake- I guess he is officially 2 now!
Time for presents!
He was finally ready to finish his cake now that he had Lightning McQueen to sit with him.
Happy Birthday my sweet Little Bear!
