Rediscovering the Joy of Christmas: Weeks 2 & 3

We have had a few fantastic weeks as we prepare for Christmas. The kids are anxiously awaiting Christmas morning and I finally finished making their gifts (with only 1 day to spare!). I have truly enjoyed all of my time preparing gifts for the kids and I much prefer making them things than fighting crowds in the stores! We were able to make some more cookies, read some more great books, drive around to look at Christmas lights, watch some Christmas movies, do a few Christmas crafts, and listen to some festive tunes. We also celebrated Christmas with both sides of the extended families since my hardworking husband does not have Christmas off. Here is a glimpse into what we have been doing.

We also made some adorable fabric snowmen, but I forgot to take a picture before we gave them away! Luckily, Grandma was one of the recipients so I will have to borrow her snowman for a quick picture.

We have all had a fantastic time with family and are really enjoying this blessed season! We even had our first snowfall, which I believe officially makes it Christmas! All the presents are wrapped and the kids are anxious for their gifts. It is so precious to observe the wonder and excitement of children at Christmastime. Our lives have been richly blessed this past month and we are so grateful! Now, I am off to watch “The Bishop’s Wife” before I head off to bed! Have a great week!
